I couldn't resist naming it after some episodes in a satirical comedy show in the Netherlands named 'De Heeren van De Bruyne Ster' by Jiskefet about the officers aboard a VOC ship named 'De Bruyne Ster' (The Brown Star) with a fitting piece on the stern. Fitting in more than one way to go on the stern really... she really should have 'favourable wind' whenever she sails! - 116789071 1707272179424011 4406008596958446748 n

This 6th Rate represents the Dutch 3 mast yacht 'Swol'. To make it easier to spot the freeboards were painted in red/white/blue and some guns were removed to make clear she's not a fully armed 6th Rate. - 263407042 2108874322597126 3580120966322769656 n

I did a bit of extra work on the stern, showing mermaids in full color and the coat of arms of the city of Zwolle: 'Swol'. Since she was a yacht she was more elaborately decorated. Although being a historic ship I was not able to find any info on he actual appearance. - 271179538 2130558523762039 5246760933147048226 n

I made ships cards for all the English and Dutch ships present at the Four Days' Battle of 1666. I tried to work the differences between Dutch and English ship design and armament into the cards despite the models being the same. The Dutch ship, though being roughly of the same size had fewer and lighter guns which shows in its broadside value and only the English ship keeping the 'Weight of Fire'.
